The Streetfighters scene started in England late 80's. This newest motorcycle trend, the Streetfighter (or Fighter for short), are motorcycles that have undergone drastically aesthetic changes, performance upgrades and engines heavily modified.
By mid 90's the trend migrated to Germany and the rest of Europe. In Europe, the Fighters scene became huge for the past decades, but mostly in Germany and England is where you can find these Streetfighters or Fighter at their maximum expression mainly in the street, shows and tracks. Also in most European publications, meetings, news etc.. you can read or have contact with this subculture.
Here in the United States it is just starting; Magazines, Bike Shows Promoters, Builders and others related to the Motorcycle world are beginning to see the trend crossing the Atlantic - it will not take long before we see these Fighters in our streets and show.
The most commonly used bikes for conversions to Fighters are the so-called "NAKED" models, but be aware that
Remember, Fighter are UNIQUE, They are "one of a kind" and can never be copied or duplicated!
My love for the Yamaha Vmax began back in 1984 when I first have the oportunity to test/ride one from a dealer in Andorra, and what a ride was crossing the section of the Pirine mountains that crosses the Spanish to the french side. Finally I owned my first Vmax back in 1997 and since then I have been Customizing the Vmax to Fighters. I still own a 1998 Model "J' Wrath", 1500CC and totally performance modified Vmax and show winner. "Viva la Vmax" Don't be mistaken, she is no trailer queen.
Since my return from Europe I've been transforming "Busas" into Street-Racers & Fighter, same as the Vmax they are top performance and show winners. A new love and pasion have grown in me for these Busas.
All my Customs Vmax's and Hayabusa Fighters are SHOW WINNERS and FEATURED all over the world by the most prestigious Magazines.
these are not the exclusive models, as the real Streetfighters started as "Full Dressed" models that, by losing the "Plastics" and undergoing the above mentioned modifications, become the "ORIGINAL" Streetfighters in the late 80's.
